Spring is Here!

Spring is the time for new beginnings! As I reflect on my journey as a new author I am learning more about other forms of writing. I learned that this month is recognized as National Poetry Month. I invite you to take time to enjoy more poetry this month.

Langston Hughes was my father's favorite poet. I thought it would be great to highlight one of his poems this month.

Hold fast to dreams

For if dreams die

Life is a broken-winged bird

That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams

For when dreams go

Life is a barren field

Frozen with snow.
