This Summer has been great!!

I am enjoying sharing Life, Love & Legacy Honoring my Father William Lee Holman with others this summer!! June and July brought wonderful opportunities to travel to different cities in Virginia to meet new readers and communities.

It was a wonderful experience to be a featured speaker at the Virginia Reads Book Festival in Petersburg VA!! I shared a sneak peek into my writing process and a brief reading from my book. It was wonderful to share with those in attendance! A particularly interesting occurrence during that day was that one person that stopped by my table was a child whose name was also William. It was great to meet readers from various parts of Virginia at the festival.

In July, I traveled to Green Bay, VA and participated as a vendor in the July Jubilee Juneteenth celebration!! This was a unique experience since the guest Speaker was Dr. Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth. I enjoyed the festivities, different speakers of the day and hearing Dr. Lee's insights. I was able to once again meet new readers and share my father's story.

I have enjoyed the opportunities this summer provided for sharing my book with others!!! I am preparing to speak with a small group regarding my writing process and book later this week. I am excited to participate in additional events in the coming months. More details will be shared in next month's blog.
